Aloo Methi comes from the Northern part of India, and is lavished on hot naan or paratha. Methi or Fenugreek plant is a rich source of nutrition. Promotes healthy digestion and also is anti-inflammatory. Give it a try and eat healthy!
Cleaning, chopping and sorting Methi leaves are quite a daunting task. Don’t let all the work scare you away from making this delicious and healthy dish. You can use Maya Kasoori Methi to create this dish without losing its authentic flavor. A quick remedy that most of the fines restaurants use when serving their foods with methi.
Ingredients:

Recipe for Aloo Methi:
  1. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seed
  2. When onion turns pinkish in color add turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin powder, dry mango powder & salt to taste. Sauté for 2 minutes
  3. Add Maya Kasuri Methi, mix well. Cover & cook for 3 to 3 minutes in low flame , until soft.
  4. Remove from heat & Serve hot with paratha or naan

Kids Khichdi Recipe by Maya Foods

As parents, we want to provide the most nutrition possible for our kids. They are naturally fussy eaters and many shy away from vegetables for no known reason. We have a solution that surprisingly satisfies both parents and children! A magical blend of rice, spices, lentils, and veggies to pack your kids meal up with the right nutrients, filling their little tummies up with delight ðŸ™‚
We were lucky enough to share this recipe with other parents and their kids. These picky eaters and their parents devoured the khichdi and came asking for more!
Ingredients:

Recipe for Kids Khichdi:
  1. Clean and wash dal and rice well
  2. Soak dal and rice in water for half an hour
  3. Heat the ghee & oil in pressure cooker
  4. Put mustard seeds, cumin seeds until it crackles
  5. Add a pinch Hing (Asofeteida) & garlic when seeds crackle
  6. Add chopped onion – fry for 2 to 3 minutes
  7. When onion changes to pinkish color
  8. Add dal and rice and sauté a little and add vegetables of your choice
  9. Add pinch Turmeric, Pinch Garam Masala & salt to taste. Saute for 2 to 3 minutes
  10. Add water and pressure cook this for 3-4 whistles, till everything is well- cooked
